I was trying to tire myself out on Friday night, and what better way to induce somnabulance than picking up a really dry, boring semi-academic journal. After flipping through the articles and choosing which one would send me into blissful slumber, I suddenly felt as if I was on a small boat and being rocked back and forth for a few seconds. This morning, I asked just about everyone I ran into whether they had felt what I assumed was an earthquake. They all looked at me like I was crazy.
Turns out I was right. Also, someone should write up a Wikipedia article on the Syrian-African Rift.
